Creditreform Rating is a full subsidiary (100 %) of Creditreform AG and domiciled in the town of Neuss near Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia. We are a dynamically growing young enterprise with over 100 employees from more than ten countries who perform ratings of borrowers and issues across the whole of Europe, the USA, Canada, Russia and Asia.
We provide high-quality, reliable assessments of credit risks and provide our clients with ratings, credit services and market analyses for their international business activities.
We provide asset-based finance ratings in a wide range of asset classes (infrastructure, real estate / property, renewable energies, logistics and aviation), structured finance ratings, bank ratings and sovereign ratings. We also perform ratings of companies and their bonds. Capital and loan providers are using Creditreform ratings globally to inform their investment decisions and to ensure regulatory compliance.
Since 2011, we have been registered by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as a European Rating Agency pursuant to EU Regulation (EC) No. 1060/2009. In 2009, we were the first German credit rating agency to receive official recognition as an External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI) pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 575/2013 (CRR). We can base our ratings on a mapping that has been provided by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and are shareholders of European DataWarehouse GmbH.
We provide the clients of our Credit Service Business Division – predominantly large corporations and financial service providers – with standardized ratings and systems to support their financial decisions as well as with customized solutions. Financial institutions and corporations alike are applying our outsourcing systems and risk management tools for their credit processes. Our range of services includes research and analyses of annual financial statements, industry-specific data and default data, the validation of existing scoring and rating systems as well as the development of new systems and credit risk monitoring services for which we also provide customized interfaces with our clients‘ own risk management operations.
Our exhaustive data about companies in Germany and all over Europe, in conjunction with our comprehensive technical research know-how, allow us to provide our partners and clients with customized risk solutions and potential analyses.
